Yih wuh kalám hai, jo Ḳhudáwand kí taraf se Yarmiyáh par názil húá, aur us ne farmáyá,

ki Tum is ‘ahd kí báteṉ suno, aur baní Yahúdáh aur Yarúshalem ke báshindoṉ se bayán karo:

aur tú un se kah, Ḳhudáwand, Isráíl ká Ḳhudá, yúṉ farmátá hai, ki La‘nat us insán par jo is ‘ahd kí báteṉ nahíṉ suntá,

jo maiṉ ne tumháre bápdádá se us waqt farmáíṉ, jab maiṉ un ko mulk i Misr se, lohe ke tanúr se, yih kahkar nikál láyá, ki Tum merí áwáz kí farmánbardárí karo, aur jo kuchh maiṉ ne tum ko hukm diyá hai, us par ‘amal karo: to tum mere log hoge, aur maiṉ tumhárá Ḳhudá húṉgá:

táki maiṉ us qasam ko jo maiṉ ne tumháre bápdádá se kháí, ki maiṉ un ko aisá mulk dúṉgá, jis meṉ dúdh aur shahd bahtá ho, jaisá ki áj ke din hai, púrá karúṉ. Tab maiṉ ne jawáb meṉ kahá, Ai Ḳhudáwand, Ámín.

Phir Ḳhudáwand ne mujhe farmáyá, ki Yahúdáh ke shahroṉ meṉ aur Yarúshalem ke kúchoṉ meṉ in sab bátoṉ kí manádí kar; aur kah, ki Is ‘ahd kí báteṉ suno, aur un par ‘amal karo.

Kyúṉki maiṉ tumháre bápdádá ko, jis din se mulk i Misr se nikál láyá, áj tak tákíd kartá, aur bar waqt jatátá, aur kahtá rahá, ki Merí suno.

Par unhoṉ ne kán na lagáyá, aur shanawá na húe, balki har ek ne apne bure dil kí saḳhtí kí pairawí kí: is liye maiṉ ne is ‘ahd kí sab báteṉ jin par ‘amal karne ká un ko hukm diyá thá, aur unhoṉ ne na kiyá, un par púrí kíṉ.

Tab Ḳhudáwand ne mujhe farmáyá, ki Yahúdáh ke logoṉ aur Yarúshalem ke báshindoṉ meṉ sázish páí játí hai.

Wuh apne bápdádá kí badkirdárí kí taraf, jinhoṉ ne merí báteṉ sunne se inkár kiyá, phir gaye; aur g̣airma‘búdoṉ ke pairau hokar un kí ‘ibádat kí: Isráíl ke gharáne aur Yahúdáh ke gharáne ne us ‘ahd ko jo maiṉ ne un ke bápdádá se kiyá thá, toṛ diyá.

Is liye Ḳhudáwand yúṉ farmátá hai, ki Dekh, maiṉ un par aisí, balá láúṉgá, jis se wuh bhág na sakeṉge; aur wuh mujhe pukáreṉge, par maiṉ un kí na sunúṉgá.

Tab Yahúdáh ke shahr aur Yarúshalem ke báshinde jáeṉge, aur un ma‘búdoṉ ko jin ke áge wuh baḳhúr jaláte haiṉ, pukáreṉge: par wuh musíbat ke waqt un ko hargiz na bacháeṉge.

Kyúṉki, ai Yahúdáh, jitne tere shahr haiṉ, utne hí tere ma‘búd haiṉ: aur jitne Yarúshalem ke kúche haiṉ, utne hí tum ne us ruswáí ke bá‘is ke liye mazbahe banáe, ya‘ní Ba‘l ke liye baḳhúr jaláne kí qurbángáheṉ.

Pas tú in logoṉ ke liye du‘á na kar, aur na in ke wáste apní áwáz baland kar, aur na minnat kar: kyúṉki jab yih apní musíbat meṉ mujhe pukáreṉge, maiṉ in kí na sunúṉgá.

Mere ghar meṉ merí mahbúba ko kyá kám, jab ki wuh bakasrat sharárat kar chukí? Kyá mannat aur muqaddas gosht terí sharárat ko dúr kareṉge? Kyá tú in ke zarí‘e se riháí páegí? tú sharárat karke ḳhush hotí hai.

Ḳhudáwand ne Ḳhushmewa hará zaitún, terá nám rakkhá: us ne baṛe hangáme kí áwáz hote hí use ág lagá dí, aur us kí ḍáliyáṉ toṛ dí gayíṉ.

Kyúṉki Rabb u’l afwáj ne jis ne tujhe lagáyá, tujh par balá ká hukm kiyá, us badí ke sabab se jo Isráíl ke gharáne aur Yahúdáh ke gharáne ne apne haqq meṉ kí, ki Ba‘l ke liye baḳhúr jalákar mujhe g̣azabnák kiyá.

Ḳhudáwand ne mujh par záhir kiyá, aur maiṉ ján gayá; tab tú ne mujhe un ke kám dikháe.
19
Lekin maiṉ us paltú barre kí mánind thá, jise zabh karne ko le játe haiṉ; aur mujhe ma‘lúm na thá, ki unhoṉ ne mere ḳhiláf mansúbe báṉdhe haiṉ, ki Áo, daraḳht ko us ke phal samet nest kareṉ, aur use zindoṉ kí zamín se káṭ ḍáleṉ, táki us ke nám ká zikr tak báqí na rahe.

Par, ai Rabb u’l afwáj, jo sadáqat se ‘adálat kartá hai, jo dil o dimág̣ ko jáṉchtá hai, un se intiqám lekar mujhe dikhá: kyúṉki maiṉ ne apná da‘wá tujh hí par záhir kiyá.
21
Is liye Ḳhudáwand farmátá hai ‘Anatot ke logoṉ kí bábat jo yih kahkar terí ján ke ḳhwáháṉ haiṉ, ki Ḳhudáwand ká nám lekar nubuwwat na kar, táki tú hamáre háth se na márá jáe:

Rabb u’l afwáj yúṉ farmátá hai, ki Dekh, maiṉ un ko sazá dúṉgá: jawán talwár se máre jáeṉge; un ke beṭe beṭiyáṉ kál se mareṉge;
23
aur un meṉ se koí báqí na rahegá: kyúṉki maiṉ ‘Anatot ke logoṉ par un kí sazá ke sál meṉ áfat láúṉgá.
