Sháh i Yahúdáh Yahúyaqím bin Yúsiyáh kí bádsháhí ke shurú‘ meṉ yih kalám Ḳhudáwand kí taraf se názil húá,

ki Ḳhudáwand yúṉ farmátá hai, ki Tú Ḳhudáwand ke ghar ke sahn meṉ khaṛá ho, aur Yahúdáh ke sab shahroṉ ke logoṉ se, jo Ḳhudáwand ke ghar meṉ sijda karne ko áte haiṉ, wuh sab báteṉ jin ká maiṉ ne tujhe hukm diyá hai, ki un se kahe, kah de; ek lafz bhí kam na kar.

Sháyad wuh shanawá hoṉ, aur har ek apní burí rawish se báz áe; aur maiṉ bhí us ‘azáb ko, jo un kí bada‘málí ke bá‘is un par láná cháhtá húṉ, báz rakkhúṉ.

Aur tú un se kahná, Ḳhudáwand yúṉ farmátá hai, ki Agar tum merí na sunoge, ki merí sharí‘at par jo maiṉ ne tumháre sámne rakkhí ‘amal karo,

aur mere ḳhidmatguzár nabíoṉ kí báteṉ suno, jin ko maiṉ ne tumháre pás bhejá (maiṉ ne un ko barwaqt bhejá, par tum ne na suná);

to maiṉ is ghar ko Sailá kí mánind kar ḍálúṉgá, aur is shahr ko zamín kí sab qaumoṉ ke nazdík la‘nat ká bá‘is ṭhahráúṉgá.

Chunáṉchi káhinoṉ aur nabíoṉ aur sab logoṉ ne Yarmiyáh ko Ḳhudáwand ke ghar meṉ yih báteṉ kahte suná.

Aur yúṉ húá ki jab Yarmiyáh wuh sab báteṉ kah chuká, jo Ḳhudáwand ne use hukm diyá thá ki sab logoṉ se kahe; to káhinoṉ aur nabíoṉ aur sab logoṉ ne use pakṛá aur kahá, ki Tú yaqínan qatl kiyá jáegá.

Tú ne kyúṉ Ḳhudáwand ká nám lekar nubuwwat kí, aur kahá, ki Yih ghar Sailá kí mánind hogá, aur yih shahr wírán aur gairábád hogá? Aur sab log Ḳhudáwand ke ghar meṉ Yarmiyáh ke pás jama‘ húe.

Aur Yahúdáh ke umará yih báteṉ sunkar bádsháh ke ghar se Ḳhudáwand ke ghar meṉ áe; aur Ḳhudáwand ke ghar ke naye pháṭak ke madḳhal par baiṭhe.

Aur káhinoṉ aur nabíoṉ ne umará se aur sab logoṉ se muḳhátib hokar kahá, ki Yih shaḳhs wájibu’l qatl hai; kyúṉki is ne is shahr ke ḳhiláf nubuwwat kí hai, jaisá ki tum ne apne kánoṉ se suná.

Tab Yarmiyáh ne sab umará aur tamám logoṉ se muḳhátib hokar kahá, ki Ḳhudáwand ne mujhe bhejá, ki is ghar aur is shahr ke ḳhiláf wuh sab báteṉ jo tum ne suní haiṉ nubuwwat se kahúṉ.

Is liye ab tum apní rawish aur apne a‘mál ko durust karo, aur Ḳhudáwand apne Ḳhudá kí áwáz ke shanawá ho, táki Ḳhudáwand us ‘azáb se jis ká tumháre ḳhiláf i‘lán kiyá hai báz rahe.

Aur dekho, maiṉ to tumháre qábú meṉ húṉ: jo kuchh tumhárí nazar meṉ ḳhúb o rást ho, mujh se karo.

Par yaqín jáno, ki agar tum mujhe qatl karoge, to begunáh ká ḳhún apne áp par, aur is shahr par, aur is ke báshindoṉ par láoge: kyúṉki darhaqíqat Ḳhudáwand ne mujhe tumháre pás bhejá hai, ki tumháre kánoṉ meṉ yih sab báteṉ kahúṉ.

Tab umará aur sab logoṉ ne káhinoṉ aur nabíoṉ se kahá, ki Yih shaḳhs wájibu’l qatl nahíṉ; kyúṉki us ne Ḳhudáwand hamáre Ḳhudá ke nám se ham se kalám kiyá.

Tab mulk ke chand buzurg uṭhe, aur kull jamá‘at se muḳhátib hokar kahne lage,
18
ki Míkáh Morashtí ne sháh i Yahúdáh Hizqiyáh ke aiyám meṉ nubuwwat kí, aur Yahúdáh ke sab logoṉ se muḳhátib hokar yúṉ kahá, ki Rabb u’l afwáj yúṉ farmátá hai, ki Siyyún khet kí tarah jotá jáegá, aur Yarúshalem khanḍar ho jáegá, aur is ghar ká paháṛ jangal kí úṉchí jagahoṉ kí mánind hogá.

Kyá sháh i Yahúdáh Hizqiyáh aur tamám Yahúdáh ne us ko qatl kiyá? kyá wuh Ḳhudáwand se na ḍará, aur Ḳhudáwand se munáját na kí? Aur Ḳhudáwand ne us ‘azáb ko jis ká un ke ḳhiláf i‘lán kiyá thá báz na rakkhá? Pas yúṉ ham apní jánoṉ par baṛí áfat láeṉge.

Phir ek âur shaḳhs ne Ḳhudáwand ke nám se nubuwwat kí, ya‘ní Úriyáh bin Sama‘iyáh ne jo Qaryat Ya‘rím ká thá; us ne is shahr aur mulk ke ḳhiláf Yarmiyáh kí sab bátoṉ ke mutábiq nubuwwat kí:

aur jab Yahúyaqím bádsháh aur us ke sab jangí mardoṉ aur umará ne us kí báteṉ suníṉ, to bádsháh ne use qatl karná cháhá; lekin Úriyáh yih sunkar ḍará, aur Misr ko bhág gayá:

aur Yahúyaqím bádsháh ne chand ádmíoṉ ya‘ní Ilnátan bin ‘Akbor aur us ke sáth kuchh âur ádmíoṉ ko Misr meṉ bhejá:

aur wuh Úriyáh ko Misr se nikál láe, aur use Yahúyaqím bádsháh ke pás pahuṉcháyá; aur us ne us ko talwár se qatl kiyá, aur us kí lásh ko ‘awámm ke qabristán meṉ phiṉkwá diyá.
24
Par Aḳhíqám bin Sáfan Yarmiyáh ká dastgír thá, táki wuh qatl hone ke liye logoṉ ke hawále na kiyá jáe.
