(Od Dávida.) Veleb, má duše, Hospodina, a všechny mé vnitřnosti jeho svaté jméno,
2
veleb, má duše, Hospodina, a nechť nezapomínáš žádného z jeho dobrodiní!
3
On odpouští všechny tvé nepravosti, on uzdravuje všechny tvé choroby,
4
on vykupuje tvůj život z propasti, on tě věnčí laskavostí a hojným smilováním,
5
on tvé stáří sytí dobrem, tvé mládí se obnovuje jako orlí.
6
Hospodin uplatňuje spravedlnost a právo pro všechny vydírané,
7
své cesty dával na vědomí Mojžíšovi, své skutky dětem Isráélovým;
8
Hospodin je soucitný a milostivý, zdlouhavý k hněvu a oplývající laskavostí;
9
nechce se do nekonečna přít, ani se navždy horšit,
10
neučinil nám podle našich hříchů, aniž na nás uvalil odplatu podle našich nepravostí,
11
nýbrž podle výše nebes nad zemí se vzmohla jeho laskavost nad jeho ctiteli,
12
podle vzdálenosti vzcházení od západu od nás vzdálil naše přestoupení;
13
podle smilovávání otce nad svými dětmi se Hospodin smilovává nad svými ctiteli.
14
Vždyť on zná naše utvoření, pamatuje si, že my jsme prach;
15
smrtelník - jeho dni jsou jako tráva; jako květ pole, tak kvete -
16
když přes něho přejde vítr, již ho není, aniž ho ještě jeho místo uznává,
17
a le laskavost Hospodinova? Od věčnosti a po věčnost nad jeho ctiteli, i jeho spravedlnost vůči dětem dětí,
18
dbajícím jeho smlouvy a pamětlivým jeho nařízení k vykonávání jich.
19
Hospodin v nebesích zřídil svůj trůn a jeho královská moc vládne nade vším;
20
velebte Hospodina, jeho andělé, mocní silou, vykonávající jeho slovo posloucháním na hlas jeho slova,
21
velebte Hospodina, všechny jeho zástupy, obsluhující ho, vykonávající jeho zálibu,
22
velebte Hospodina, všechna jeho díla ve všech místech jeho vlády, veleb Hospodina, má duše!
