Hospodine, Bože zástupů, až dokdy budeš dýmat při modlitbě svého lidu?

Nakrmil jsi je chlebem slz a slzami jsi je napojil podle míry,

činíš nás svárem našim sousedům a naši nepřátelé si tropí posměch.
7
Bože zástupů, vrať nás a rozjasni svou tvář, a ť můžeme být vysvobozeni!
8
Révu jsi z Egypta vytahoval, vyháněl jsi národy a ji jsi zasadil,
9
uklidil jsi před ní, i zakořenila se hluboce a naplnila zem.
10
Jejím stínem byly pokryty hory, a její ratolesti - BOŽÍ cedry;
11
vypouštěla své výhonky až po moře a své šlahouny k Řece.
12
Nač jsi probořil její zídky, takže ji oškubávají všichni cestou mimojdoucí?
13
Ohlodává ji divoký vepř z lesa a spásá ji, co se hemží na poli!
14
Bože zástupů, vrať se, prosím! Pohleď z nebes a viz, a ujmi se této révy,
15
a no, sazenice, již zasadila tvá pravice, a na odnož, již sis vypěstoval!
16
Je ohněm popálena, ořezána, hynou od hrozby tvé tváře.
17
Kéž je tvá ruka nad mužem tvé pravice, nad synem člověka, jehož sis vypěstoval,
18
i nebudeme od tebe odstupovat; kéž nás chceš oživit, i budeme vzývat tvé jméno.
19
Hospodine, Bože zástupů, vrať nás, rozjasni svou tvář, a ť můžeme být vysvobozeni!
