vždyť hle, tvoji nepřátelé hlučí a nenávidící tě pozvedají hlavu,

proti tvému lidu lstivě konají tajnou poradu a vymýšlejí plány proti tvým uchraňovaným.

Říkají: Pojďte, a ť je můžeme vyhubit, aby nebyli národem, a ť se již jméno Isráélovo nepřipomíná!

Ano, uradili se vespolek v srdci, proti tobě uzavírají smlouvu,

stany Edómovy a Jišmaélím, Móáv a Hagrím,

Geval a Ammón a Amálék, Pelešeth s obyvateli Córu,

i Aššúr se s nimi spojil; stali se paží synům Lótovým. Seláh.

Učiň s nimi jako s Midjánem, jako se Síserou, jako s Jávínemi u potoka Kíšónu;

ti byli zničeni v Éndóru, stali se hnojem půdě.

Nalož s nimi, s jejich velmoži, jako s Órévem a jako se Zeévem a jako se Zevachem a jako s Calmunnou - se všemi jejich vladaři,
12
kteří říkají: Zaberme si Boží příbytky!
13
Můj Bože, nalož s nimi jako s vírem prachu, jako se slámou před větrem!
14
Jako oheň zapaluje les a jako plamen zažehá hory,
15
tak kéž je pronásleduješ svou bouří a lekáš je svou vichřicí,
16
naplň jejich tvář hanbou, a ť dbají o tvé jméno, Hospodine,
17
nechť jsou zostuzováni a na věky věku otřásáni, a nechť se stydí a hynou
18
a nechť vědí, že ty - tvé jméno je Hospodin, ty samoten jsi Nejvyšší nade vší zemí!
