probuď se, varyto a lyro, chci probudit úsvit!

Chci tě chválit mezi národnostmi, Hospodine, při hudbě ti zpívat mezi lidskými plemeny,

vždyť větší než až po nebesa je tvá laskavost a až po oblaka tvá věrnost.

Buď vyvýšen nad nebesa, Bože, a tvá sláva nad všechnu zem!

Aby tvoji milovaní mohli být vytrženi, pomoz svou pravicí a odpověz nám.

Bůh ve své svatosti promluvil: Budu se veselit; budu rozdělovat Šechem a vyměřovat údolí Sukkóth.

Mně patří Gileád a mně patří Menaššé, a Efrájim je posila mé hlavy, Júdá můj zákonodárce,
9
Móáv nádoba k mému mytí, na Edóma mohu hodit svůj sandál; nade mnou, Pelešeth, výskej!
10
Kdo mi může umožnit vstup v opevněné město? Kdo mě dovede až po Edóm?
11
Zda jsi nás, Bože, neodhodil? A nevycházíš, Bože, s našimi vojsky.
12
Poskytni nám pomoc z tísně, vždyť snaha o vysvobození člověkem je ničím!
13
V Bohu budeme moci zdatně si počínat a on bude rozšlapávat naše protivníky.
