BOŽE pomsty, Hospodine, BOŽE pomsty, zaskvěj se!

Pozvedni se, soudce země, zpět uval na vysokomyslné jejich zásluhu!
3
Dokdy se zlovolní, Hospodine, dokdy se zlovolní budou veselit,
4
budou prskat, mluvit drzosti, domlouvat se všichni působcové špatnosti?
5
Deptají tvůj lid, Hospodine, a tvé dědictví ponižují,
6
vdovu a cizince zabíjejí a sirotky vraždí
7
a říkají: Jáh nevidí, aniž si Bůh Jákóbův všímá.
8
Uvažte, hlupáci v lidu, a zpozdilci, kdy chcete nabýt rozumu?
9
Ten, jenž vsadil ucho - zda neslyší? Zda ten, jenž utvořil oko - nemůže-li hledět?
10
Zda ten, jenž kárá národy neumí trestat, ten, jenž vyučuje člověka poznání?
11
Hospodin zná myšlenky lidí, že ony jsou vánkem.
12
Blaho člověka, jejž ukázňuješ, Jáhu, a jej ž ze svého zákona vyučuješ
13
k zjednání mu klidu od dní zla, než se bude zlovolnému kopat jáma.
14
Vždyť Hospodin se nechce svého lidu zříci, aniž chce opustit své dědictví,
15
nýbrž se soud musí vrátit k spravedlnosti a za ním všichni upřímní srdce m.
16
Kdo se chce za mne vypořádat s pachateli zla, kdo mi chce pomoci s působci špatnosti?
17
Kdyby mi ne byl býval pomocí Hospodin, jen málo a má duše by se byla usídlila v mlčení;
18
řekl-li jsem si: má noha se viklá, podpírala mě, Hospodine, tvá laskavost,
19
při množství starostí v mém nitru blažila tvá útěcha mou duši.
20
Zda je tvým spojencem trůn zhouby, přetvářející ubližování v nařízení?
21
Dotírají na duši spravedlivého a odsuzují nevinnou krev,
22
mně však je Hospodin záštitou, můj Bůh skálou mého útočiště,
23
i bude na ně zpět uvalovat jejich špatnost a v jejich zlobě je bude hubit, hubit je bude Hospodin, náš Bůh.
