Referit a David. Beneeix el Senyor, ànima meva, del fons del cor beneeix el seu sant nom.

Beneeix el Senyor, ànima meva, no t’oblidis dels seus favors.
3
Ell et perdona les culpes i et guareix de tota malaltia;
4
rescata de la mort la teva vida i et corona d’amor entranyable;
5
et sacia dels béns que desitjaves, i tu, com l’àguila, recobres la joventut
6
El Senyor fa justícia als oprimits, sentencia a favor d’ells.
7
Ha revelat a Moisès els seus camins, les seves gestes, als fills d’Israel.
8
«El Senyor és compassiu i benigne, lent per al càstig, ric en l’amor.»
9
No acusa sense fi ni es manté irritat per sempre;
10
no ens tracta com caldria pels pecats, no ens paga com deuria les nostres culpes.
11
El seu amor als fidels és tan immens com la distància del cel a la terra;
12
llança les nostres culpes lluny de nosaltres com l’orient és lluny de l’occident.
13
Com un pare s’apiada dels seus fills, el Senyor s’apiada dels fidels,
14
perquè sap de quin fang ens va formar i es recorda que som pols.
15
La vida de l’home dura com l’herba, floreix com la flor dels camps:
16
desapareix quan hi passa la ventada i ni es coneix el lloc on era.
17
Però l’amor del Senyor pels seus fidels és de sempre i dura sempre; la seva bondat s’estén als fills dels fills
18
si guarden la seva aliança, si es recorden dels preceptes i els compleixen.
19
El Senyor té el seu tron en el cel, i el seu regnat s’estén per l’univers.
20
Beneïu-lo, àngels del Senyor, herois poderosos que compliu les seves ordres, sempre a punt d’obeir els seus manaments.
21
Beneïu el Senyor, tots els seus estols, servidors que executeu els seus designis.
22
Beneïu el Senyor, totes les seves criatures, a tot arreu on ell és sobirà. Beneeix el Senyor, ànima meva.
