Salm. Del recull de David. Senyor, escolta la meva pregària, estigues atent a la meva súplica, respon-me, tu que ets bo i fidel.

No vulguis judicar el teu servent, que ningú dels qui viuen no és just davant teu.
3
L’enemic que em perseguia m’ha trepitjat per terra la vida, m’ha confinat al país de les tenebres, igual que els morts de temps immemorial.
4
El meu esperit se sent rendit, està consternat el meu cor.
5
Tot recordant les èpoques llunyanes, meditant les teves proeses, considerant les obres de les teves mans,

cap a tu estenc els braços: sóc davant teu com una terra esgotada. Pausa
7
De pressa, Senyor, respon-me, que el meu esperit defalleix; no m’amaguis la teva mirada, que seria com els qui baixen a la fossa.
8
Fes-me escoltar el teu amor a punta de dia, perquè jo posso en tu la confiança. Fes-me conèixer el camí que he de seguir, que a tu elevo la meva ànima.
9
Allibera’m dels enemics, Senyor: en tu trobo refugi.
10
Ensenya’m a fer la teva voluntat: tu ets el meu Déu. Que el teu esperit bo em condueixi per terra plana.
11
Pel teu nom, Senyor, dóna’m la vida; tu que ets bo, treu-me del perill.
12
Per l’amor que em tens, anorrea els enemics, destrueix els qui posen en perill la meva vida, que jo sóc servent teu.
