Celebreu Déu, la nostra força, aclameu el Déu de Jacob.

Entoneu càntics tocant els tambors, les cítares sonores i les arpes.
4
Toqueu els corns per la lluna nova i per la lluna plena, el dia de la nostra festa.
5
Així ho té prescrit Israel, és festa decretada pel Déu de Jacob,
6
un precepte que donà als fills de Josep quan sortí contra la terra d’Egipte. Sento un parlar que m’és desconegut:
7
«Li he tret el pes de les espatlles, ja no porta els cabassos a les mans.
8
Has cridat quan et veies oprimit: t’he salvat, t’he respost en el tro misteriós, t’he provat a les fonts de Meribà. Pausa
9
»Escolta, poble meu, l’advertiment! Tant de bo m’escoltessis, Israel!
10
No tinguis déus estrangers, no adoris els déus dels pagans.
11
Jo sóc el Senyor, el teu Déu, que t’he fet pujar de la terra d’Egipte; obre la boca, que jo te l’ompliré.
12
»Però el meu poble no escolta la meva veu, Israel no vol fer cas de mi,
13
i els abandono al seu cor endurit, al grat dels seus capricis.
14
»Tant de bo que el meu poble m’escoltés! Tant de bo que Israel seguís els meus camins!
15
En un instant jo venceria els seus enemics, giraria la mà contra els seus opressors.
16
»Els qui detesten el Senyor se li sotmetrien, fóra aquest el seu destí per sempre.
17
L’alimentaria amb la flor del blat, el saciaria amb la mel de les roques.»
