Senyor, no em reprenguis tan durament, no em corregeixis amb tant de rigor.
3
Tinc clavades en mi les teves fletxes, descarregues damunt meu la teva mà.
4
Ha estat tan fort el teu enuig que no em queda en tot el cos res de sa; són tants els meus pecats que els meus ossos no troben repòs.
5
Més amunt del cap m’arriben les culpes, em dobleguen com una càrrega feixuga.
6
Són tantes les meves nicieses que es gangrenen i supuren les meves ferides.
7
Estic prostrat i abatut, camino entristit tot el dia;
8
una febre ardent em devora les entranyes, i no em queda en tot el cos res de sa.
9
Visc esgotat i desfet, crido i gemego amb tota l’ànima.
10
Senyor meu, els meus anhels són davant teu, no et passen per alt els meus gemecs.
11
El cor em palpita, les forces m’abandonen, s’apaga la llum dels meus ulls.
12
Amics i veïns s’aparten de les meves ferides, els meus parents es mantenen a distància.
13
Els qui volen perdre’m la vida paren els llaços, els qui busquen fer-me mal parlen de perdre’m, tot el dia rumien traïcions.
14
El que és jo, faig el sord, no escolto res; com si fos mut, no obro la boca.
15
Faig com si no hi sentís, com si no tingués res a replicar.
16
Senyor, en tu poso l’esperança; no em deixaràs sense resposta, Senyor, Déu meu.
17
Em dic: «Que no puguin alegrar-se’n, que no cantin victòria, si el peu em fallava.»
18
Perquè em veig a punt de caure, i no puc oblidar el meu dolor.
19
Confesso la meva culpa, el meu pecat em turmenta.
20
Els enemics que encara viuen són nombrosos, són legió els qui m’odien sense causa;
21
els qui em tornen mal per bé m’acusen del bé que he buscat.
22
No m’abandonis, Senyor; Déu meu, no t’allunyis de mi.
23
Vine de pressa a ajudar-me, Senyor meu, salvador meu.
