Del recull de David. De quan canvià de pensar en presència d’Abimèlec, i aquest se’l va treure del davant i ell se n’anà.

Beneiré el Senyor en tot moment, tindré sempre als llavis la seva lloança.
3
La meva ànima es gloria en el Senyor; se n’alegraran els humils quan ho sentin.
4
Tots amb mi glorifiqueu el Senyor, exalcem plegats el seu nom.
5
He cercat el Senyor i ell m’ha respost, m’ha alliberat de l’angoixa que tenia.
6
Alceu vers ell la mirada i us omplirà de llum, i no haureu d’abaixar els ulls, avergonyits.
7
El Senyor escolta el pobre que l’invoca, i el salva de tots els perills.
8
Acampa l’àngel del Senyor entorn dels seus fidels i els allibera.
9
Tasteu i veureu que n’és, de bo, el Senyor; feliç l’home que s’hi refugia.
10
Sants del Senyor, venereu-lo; venereu-lo i no us mancarà res.
11
Els rics s’empobreixen, passen fam, però als qui cerquen el Senyor no els faltarà cap bé.
12
Veniu, fills meus, escolteu-me; us ensenyaré de venerar el Senyor.
13
Qui és l’home que estima la vida, que vol viure temps i fruir de benestar?
14
Guarda’t la llengua del mal, que no diguin res de fals els teus llavis.
15
Decanta’t del mal i fes el bé, busca la pau, procura aconseguir-la.
16
Els ulls del Senyor vetllen pels justos, els escolta quan criden auxili.
17
El Senyor es gira contra els malfactors per esborrar de la terra el seu record.
18
Als qui clamen al Senyor, ell els escolta i els allibera de tots els perills.
19
El Senyor és a prop dels cors que sofreixen, salva els homes abatuts d’esperit.
20
El just pateix molts mals, però el Senyor sempre l’allibera;
21
vetlla per cada un dels seus ossos, no en trencaran cap ni un.
22
La malícia duu el malvat a la mort, els qui detesten el just pagaran la seva culpa.
23
El Senyor rescata la vida dels seus servents; quedaran nets de culpa els qui en ell es refugien.
