Déu de justícia, Senyor, Déu de justícia, resplendeix.
2
Aixeca’t, jutge de la terra, dóna als orgullosos la paga que es mereixen.
3
Fins quan els malvats, Senyor, fins quan s’alegraran del seu triomf,
4
i els amics de males arts es vantaran, proferint paraules insolents?
5
Senyor, trepitgen el teu poble, oprimeixen la teva heretat,
6
maten les viudes i els immigrants, assassinen els orfes.
7
I diuen: «El Senyor no ho veu, el Déu de Jacob no ho entén.»
8
Enteneu-ho, els estúpids del poble! Insensats, no ho voleu comprendre?
9
El qui ha format l’orella, no hi sentirà? El qui ha afaiçonat l’ull, no hi veurà?
10
¿Podrà callar el qui corregeix els pobles i instrueix els homes amb la saviesa?
11
El Senyor coneix que els pensaments de l’home i sap que no s’aguanten més que el fum.
12
Feliç l’home que tu corregeixes, Senyor, que instrueixes amb la llei que has donat;
13
li dónes tranquil·litat en dies de desgràcia fins que al malvat li cavin la fossa.
14
El Senyor no abandona el seu poble, no es desentén de la seva heretat:
15
tornaran a ser justes les sentències, els rectes de cor les aprovaran.
16
Qui s’alça a defensar-me contra els impius? Qui es posa a favor meu contra els amics de males arts?
17
Si no m’hagués defensat el Senyor, ja em veia habitant en el silenci del sepulcre.
18
Quan m’adono que vacil·la el meu peu, em sosté el teu amor, Senyor;
19
quan creix el neguit dintre meu, el teu consol és la meva delícia.
20
¿T’avindries amb un tribunal corromput, que sentencia contra llei,
21
un tribunal que es conjura contra la vida del just i condemna a mort l’innocent?
22
El Senyor ha estat el meu castell; el meu Déu, la meva roca de refugi.
23
Ha fet caure damunt d’ells els maleficis, els destruirà amb el mateix mal que tramaven; el Senyor, el nostre Déu, els destruirà.
