Senyor, Déu, salvador meu, clamo davant teu de nit i de dia.
3
Que arribi fins a tu la meva súplica, escolta el meu plany.
4
Sobreïx de mals la meva ànima, la meva vida és a les portes de la mort;
5
em compten amb els qui baixen a la fossa, sóc un home que ha perdut les forces.
6
Tinc un lloc entre els morts, sóc com els qui jeuen al sepulcre, deixats de la teva mà, que tu ja no recordes.
7
M’has enfonsat al gorg pregon, a la foscor dels abismes.
8
El teu rigor pesa damunt meu, m’aclaparen les teves onades. Pausa
9
Has allunyat de mi els coneguts, m’has fet repugnant per a tothom; estic reclòs, no puc sortir,
10
els ulls se’m consumeixen de pena. Senyor, jo t’invoco cada dia, a tu alço les meves mans.
11
¿És per als morts que fas prodigis? ¿S’aixecaran les ombres a lloar-te? Pausa
12
¿Qui parla del teu amor en els sepulcres, de la teva fidelitat en l’indret de perdició?
13
¿Qui coneix els teus prodigis en el lloc de tenebres, la teva clemència en el país de l’oblit?
14
Jo et crido auxili, Senyor, cada matí t’arriba la meva súplica.
15
Senyor, per què m’abandones i m’amagues la mirada?
16
Des d’infant que sóc un pobre moribund, els teus terrors em dobleguen.
17
La teva fúria em passa pel damunt, m’anorrea el teu esglai:
18
m’envolten com aigua tot el dia, em cobreixen pertot arreu.
19
Has allunyat de mi veïns i amics, em fa companyia la foscor.
