En tu, Senyor, m’emparo; que mai no quedi confós.
2
Allibera’m i treu-me del perill; per la teva bondat, escolta’m i salva’m.
3
Sigues el meu castell inexpugnable on sempre pugui acollir-me. Has decidit de salvar-me; per a mi ets penyal i plaça forta.
4
Déu meu, allibera’m de les mans de l’injust, de les grapes del malvat i violent.
5
Senyor, ets la meva esperança, he confiat en tu des de jove.
6
Tu em tragueres de les entranyes de la mare; acabat de néixer em vaig aixoplugar en tu. No he deixat mai de lloar-te.
7
Tothom em mirava com un prodigi: eres per a mi un castell de refugi.
8
La meva boca s’omplia de lloances, cantava la teva glòria tot el dia.
9
No em rebutgis, doncs, al temps de la vellesa; ara que decau el meu vigor no m’abandonis,
10
perquè els enemics, m’espien per matar-me, es conjuren contra mi i diuen:
11
«Déu l’ha abandonat, perseguiu-lo, agafeu-lo, que ningú no el defensa.»
12
Senyor, no t’allunyis de mi; Déu meu, vine de pressa a ajudar-me.
13
Que quedin confosos i avergonyits els qui demanen contra mi pena de mort; que ploguin les befes i els escarnis sobre els qui volen fer-me mal.
14
El que és jo, mantindré sempre l’esperança t’adreçaré lloances més i més.
15
El meus llavis anunciaran la teva bondat, proclamaran tot el dia la teva salvació: qui podria comptar les teves obres!
16
Vindré a explicar, Senyor Déu meu, les teves proeses, recordaré que és única la teva bondat.
17
M’has instruït, Déu meu, des de jove, i encara avui proclamo les teves meravelles.
18
I ara que sóc vell, amb cabells blancs, no m’abandonis, Déu meu, fins que proclami el teu poder a aquesta generació, la teva força a tots els qui vindran.
19
La teva bondat, Déu meu, arriba fins al cel; les coses que has fet són grans: qui és com tu, Déu meu?
20
M’has fet veure perills, que han estat molts i molt greus; torna ara a fer-me viure, torna a treure’m de la tomba profunda,
21
fes gran el meu bon nom, envolta’m de consol.
22
Déu meu, lloaré amb l’arpa la teva fidelitat; et cantaré al so de la cítara, Sant d’Israel.
23
Enmig dels cants t’aclamaran els meus llavis, et cantarà la meva vida que tu has rescatat.
24
Parlaré tot el dia de la teva bondat, perquè han quedat confosos i avergonyits els qui volien fer-me mal.
