Salm gan Asaff. [1] Ydy wir, mae Duw mor dda i Israel; i'r rhai sydd â chalon lân.
2
Ond bu bron i mi faglu; roeddwn i bron iawn a llithro.
3
Ro'n i'n genfigennus o'r rhai balch, wrth weld pobl ddrwg yn llwyddo.
4
Does dim byd yn eu rhwymo nhw; maen nhw'n iach yn gorfforol;
5
ddim yn cael eu hunain i helyntion fel pobl eraill; a ddim yn dioddef fel y gweddill ohonon ni.
6
Maen nhw'n gwisgo balchder fel cadwyn aur am eu gwddf, a chreulondeb ydy'r wisg amdanyn nhw.
7
Maen nhw'n llond eu croen, ac mor llawn ohonyn nhw eu hunain hefyd!
8
Maen nhw'n gwawdio ac yn siarad yn faleisus, ac mor hunanhyderus wrth fygwth gormesu.
9
Maen nhw'n siarad fel petai piau nhw'r nefoedd, ac yn strytian yn falch wrth drin y ddaear.
10
Ac mae pobl Dduw yn dilyn eu hesiampl, ac yn llyncu eu llwyddiant fel dŵr.
11
“Na, fydd Duw ddim yn gwybod!” medden nhw. “Ydy'r Goruchaf yn gwybod unrhyw beth?”
12
Edrychwch! Dyna sut rai ydy pobl ddrwg! Yn malio dim, ac yn casglu cyfoeth.
13
Mae'n rhaid fy mod i wedi cadw fy nghalon yn lân i ddim byd! Wedi bod mor ddiniwed wrth olchi fy nwylo!
14
Dw i wedi cael fy mhlagio'n ddi-baid, ac wedi dioddef rhyw gosb newydd bob bore.
15
Petawn i wedi siarad yn agored fel hyn byddwn i wedi bradychu dy bobl di.
16
Roeddwn i'n ceisio deall y peth, a doedd e'n gwneud dim sens,
17
nes i mi fynd i mewn i deml Dduw a sylweddoli beth oedd tynged y rhai drwg!
18
Byddi'n eu gosod nhw mewn lleoedd llithrig; ac yn gwneud iddyn nhw syrthio i ddinistr.
19
Byddan nhw'n cael eu dinistrio mewn chwinciad! Byddan nhw'n cael eu hysgubo i ffwrdd gan ofn.
20
Fel breuddwyd ar ôl i rywun ddeffro, byddi di'n deffro, O ARGLWYDD, a fyddan nhw'n ddim byd ond atgof.
21
Dw i wedi bod yn chwerw fel finegr, a gadael i'r cwbl gorddi tu mewn i mi.
22
Dw i wedi bod mor dwp ac afresymol. Dw i wedi ymddwyn fel anifail gwyllt o dy flaen di.
23
Ac eto, dw i'n dal gyda ti; rwyt ti'n gafael yn dynn ynof fi.
24
Ti sy'n dangos y ffordd ymlaen i mi, a byddi'n fy nerbyn ac yn fy anrhydeddu.
25
Pwy sydd gen i yn y nefoedd ond ti? A does gen i eisiau neb ond ti ar y ddaear chwaith.
26
Mae'r corff a'r meddwl yn pallu, ond mae Duw'n graig ddiogel i mi bob amser.
27
Bydd y rhai sy'n bell oddi wrthot ti yn cael eu difa; byddi'n dinistrio pawb sy'n anffyddlon i ti.
28
Ond dw i'n gwybod mai cadw'n agos at Dduw sydd orau. Mae fy Meistr, yr ARGLWYDD, yn fy nghadw'n saff. Dw i'n mynd i ddweud wrth bawb am beth rwyt ti wedi ei wneud!
