I'r arweinydd cerdd: Salm gan Asaff ar yr alaw ‛Cyffes‛. [1] Dw i'n gweiddi'n uchel ar Dduw; yn gweiddi'n uchel ar iddo wrando arna i.
2
Dw i mewn helbul, ac yn troi at yr ARGLWYDD; dw i wedi bod yn estyn fy nwylo ato mewn gweddi trwy'r nos, ond ches i ddim cysur.
3
Dw i wedi bod yn ochneidio wrth feddwl am Dduw, dw i wedi bod yn myfyrio arno — ond yn anobeithio. Saib
4
Ti sydd wedi fy nghadw i'n effro; dw i mor boenus, wn i ddim beth i'w ddweud.
5
Dw i wedi bod yn meddwl am yr hen ddyddiau, flynyddoedd lawer yn ôl.
6
Cofio'r gân roeddwn i'n arfer ei chanu. Meddwl drwy'r nos am y peth, a chwilio am ateb.
7
“Ydy'r ARGLWYDD wedi troi cefn arnon ni am byth? Ydy e'n mynd i ddangos ei ffafr aton ni eto?
8
Ydy ei ffyddlondeb e wedi dod i ben yn llwyr? Ydy'r addewidion wnaeth e byth yn mynd i gael eu cyflawni?
9
Ydy Duw wedi anghofio sut i ddangos trugaredd? Ydy ei ddig yn gryfach na'i dosturi?” Saib
10
“Mae meddwl y fath beth yn codi cyfog arna i: fod y Goruchaf wedi newid ei ffyrdd.”
11
Dw i'n mynd i atgoffa fy hun beth wnaeth yr ARGLWYDD — ydw, dw i'n cofio'r pethau rhyfeddol wnest ti ers talwm!
12
Dw i'n mynd i gofio am bopeth wnest ti, a myfyrio ar y cwbl.
13
O Dduw, mae dy ffyrdd di yn gwbl unigryw! Oes yna dduw tebyg i'n Duw ni?
14
Na! Ti ydy'r Duw sy'n gwneud pethau anhygoel! Ti wedi dangos dy nerth i'r bobloedd i gyd.
15
Ti wnaeth ollwng dy bobl yn rhydd gyda dy fraich gref, sef disgynyddion Jacob a Joseff. Saib
16
Dyma'r dyfroedd yn dy weld di, O Dduw, dyma'r dyfroedd yn dy weld di ac yn cynhyrfu. Roedd y môr dwfn yn crynu mewn ofn!
17
Roedd y cymylau'n tywallt y glaw; yr awyr yn taranu, a dy saethau yn fflachio ym mhobman.
18
Roedd dy lais i'w glywed yn taranu yn y storm; dy fellt yn goleuo'r byd, a'r ddaear yn crynu trwyddi.
19
Agoraist ffordd drwy'r môr; Cerddaist drwy'r dyfroedd cryfion, er bod neb yn gweld olion dy draed.
20
Dyma ti'n arwain dy bobl fel praidd dan ofal Moses ac Aaron.
