Lovsyng Hans navn, Hans herlige navn! Pris Ham på herlig vis! Si til Gud: «Hvor skremmende mektige er Dine handlinger!

Din kraft er så stor at Dine fiender skal krype for Deg. Hele jorden skal tilbe og lovsynge Deg. De skal lovsynge Ditt navn.» Kom og se hva Gud gjør. Han gjør skremmende og fantastiske ting for menneskene.

Han lot havet dele seg og bli til tørt land der de gikk over til fots. Vi gleder oss over at Herren var med. Han hersker ved sin makt til evig tid. Hans øyne er festet på folkeslagene. La ikke dem som er i opprør, få glede seg! Lovpris vår Gud, dere folk! Bruk stemmene deres til å prise Ham. Han er Den som holder oss i live og lar oss stå støtt.

For Du, Gud, har ført oss gjennom prøvelser. Du har renset oss slik man renser sølv. Du lot oss gå i fangenskap og ga oss tunge byrder. Du lot mennesker ri over våre hoder. Vi gikk gjennom ild og vann, men så førte Du oss ut til overflod.

Jeg vil ta med meg offer til å brenne i Ditt hus, jeg vil oppfylle de løftene jeg ga Deg da jeg var i vanskeligheter, det jeg lovet da jeg var i nød. Jeg vil la duften stige opp til Deg av de dyrene jeg brenner som offer. Jeg vil ofre fete dyr – både geiter og okser.

Kom og hør, alle dere som frykter Gud, og jeg vil fortelle hva Han har gjort for meg. Jeg ropte til Ham og lovpriste Ham. Hadde jeg onde tanker, da ville ikke Herren ha hørt.

Men sannelig, Gud har hørt meg. Han lyttet til mine bønner. Lovet være Gud, som ikke avviste min bønn og var trofast mot meg.
