Korahs sønner har skrevet denne salmen til bruk i tempelet. Hvor vidunderlig det er der Du bor, Hærskarenes Herre! Min sjel lengter, ja, lengselen i mitt indre roper etter å være hos Herren. Mitt hjerte og min kropp roper etter Den Levende Gud.

Spurven har funnet et hjem, og svalen har et rede, der den kan legge sine unger. Mange gleder seg ved dine altere, Hærskarenes Herre, min Konge og min Gud. Velsignet er de som bor i Ditt hus. De skal alltid prise Deg. Velsignet er det mennesket som har sin styrke i Deg, de som lengter etter ditt nærvær.

Når de går gjennom tåredaler av problemer, så gjør de den om til en kilde til liv. De dekkes av velsignelser, for de går fra kraft til kraft. Hver og en stiller seg framfor Gud.

Du, Herre, Hærskarenes Gud, hør min bønn! Israels Gud, hør på meg! Se på Din salvedes ansikt! For én dag i Ditt nærvær er bedre enn 1000 andre. Jeg vil heller vokte døren i min Guds hus framfor å bo i de ondes telt. For Herren Gud er lyset og beskyttelsen i livet. Herren gir nåde og herlighet. Intet godt vil Han spare for dem som vil leve oppriktig for Ham. Velsignet er det mennesket som stoler på Deg, Du, Hærskarenes Herre.
