Nie aan ons nie, Here, nie aan ons nie, maar aan u Naam kom die eer toe, oor u troue liefde, oor u bestendigheid.

Waarom sê die nasies: “Waar is hulle God dan?”

Ons God is in die hemel; alles wat Hom behaag, doen Hy.
4
Hulle afgode is silwer en goud, die werk van mensehande.
5
Hulle het monde, maar kan nie praat nie, oë, maar kan nie sien nie.
6
Hulle het ore, maar kan nie hoor nie, neuse, maar kan nie ruik nie,

hande, maar kan nie aanraak nie, voete, maar kan nie loop nie; met hulle kele maak hulle geen geluid nie.
8
Hulle makers sal net soos hulle word – elkeen wat op hulle vertrou.
9
Israel, vertrou op die Here! Hy is hulle hulp en hulle skild.
10
Huis van Aäron, vertrou op die Here! Hy is hulle hulp en hulle skild.
11
Julle wat vir die Here ontsag het, vertrou op die Here! Hy is hulle hulp en hulle skild.
12
Die Here dink aan ons. Hy sal seën: Hy sal die huis van Israel seën; Hy sal die huis van Aäron seën;
13
Hy sal hulle wat vir die Here ontsag het, seën – die kleintjies saam met die grotes.
14
Mag die Here julle meer maak, julle en julle kinders.
15
Mag julle geseën word deur die Here wat hemel en aarde gemaak het.
16
Die hemel is die Here se hemel, maar die aarde het Hy vir mensekinders gegee.
17
Die dooies sal die Here nie loof nie, nie enige van hulle wat na die stilte afdaal nie.
18
Maar ons, ons sal die Here prys, nou en vir altyd. Halleluja!
