O God, U het ons verstoot, ons uitmekaar geslaan. U was toornig. Herstel ons!

U het die land geskud, dit oopgekloof. Maak sy breuke heel, want dit wankel.

U het u volk moeilike tye laat beleef; U het ons wyn laat drink wat ons laat steier.

U het aan hulle wat vir U ontsag het, 'n banier gegee waaronder hulle byeen kan kom, weg van die boogskutters.

Sodat u geliefdes gered kan word – verlos tog met u regterhand en antwoord ons!

God self het in sy heiligdom verklaar: “Ek wil jubel, Ek wil Sigem verdeel, die vallei van Sukkot gaan Ek afmeet.
9
Aan My behoort Gilead, aan My Manasse; Efraim is 'n beskutting vir my kop, Juda is my heerserstaf.
10
Moab is my waskom, op Edom gooi Ek my sandaal; oor My moet jy juig, Filistea.”

Wie sal my bring na 'n versterkte stad? Wie sal my lei tot by Edom?
12
Is dit nie U, o God, wat ons verstoot het nie? U, o God, trek nie meer saam met ons leërs uit nie.
13
Kom ons te hulp teen teenstanders – die hulp van mense is nutteloos.
14
Met God tree ons dapper op – Hý sal ons teenstanders vertrap.
