O God, moet tog nie stilbly nie; moet U nie doof hou nie en moenie stil wees nie, o God.

Want kyk, u vyande is rumoerig, u haters loop kop omhoog.
4
Teen u volk maak hulle listig planne, hulle beraadslaag teen dié wat deur U beskerm word.
5
Hulle het gesê: “Kom ons wis hulle uit as 'n nasie sodat die naam Israel nie meer onthou word nie.”
6
Ja, hulle het eendragtig saamgespan; teen U het hulle 'n verdrag gesluit:
7
die tente van Edom en die Ismaeliete, Moab en die nageslag van Hagar,
8
Gebal, Ammon en Amalek, Filistea en ook die inwoners van Tirus.
9
Ook Assirië het by hulle aangesluit; hulle het die nageslag van Lot die hand gereik.
10
Maak met hulle soos met Midian, soos met Sisera, soos met Jabin by die spruit Kison.
11
Hulle is uitgedelg by En-Dor, hulle het mis geword vir die grond.
12
Maak met hulle, met hulle vooraanstaandes, soos met Oreb en Seëb, met al hulle stamhoofde soos met Seba en Salmunna,
13
wat gesê het: “Laat ons die weivelde van God in besit neem.”
14
