'n Psalm. 'n Lied vir die Sabbatdag.

Dit is goed om die Here te dank, om u Naam te besing, Allerhoogste;
3
om in die môre u troue liefde te verkondig, en u trou in die nagte –
4
met tiensnarige instrumente, met harpe en die speel van liere.
5
Want U maak my bly met u werk, Here, oor u handewerk jubel ek.
6
Hoe groot is u werke, Here, hoe uitermate diep u gedagtes!
7
'n Dom mens weet nie, en 'n dwaas verstaan dit nie:
8
Wanneer goddeloses soos onkruid opskiet en almal wat onreg pleeg, gedy – is dit net om vir ewig uitgedelg te word.
9
Maar U is vir ewig hoog verhewe, Here.
10
Ja, kyk, u vyande, Here, ja, kyk, u vyande gaan ten gronde; dié wat onreg pleeg, word verstrooi.
11
Maar U het my horings hoog gelig soos dié van 'n buffel. Suiwer olie is oor my uitgegiet.
12
My oog kyk neer op my teenstanders, op hulle wat teen my opstaan; my oor hoor met vreugde van die kwaaddoeners.
13
Regverdiges – soos palmbome skiet hulle op, soos seders op die Libanon groei hulle hoog.
14
Hulle is geplant in die huis van die Here; in die voorhowe van ons God blom hulle.
15
In die gryse ouderdom gedy hulle nog steeds; hulle is weelderig en blaarryk,
16
sodat hulle kan verkondig: “Regverdig is die Here, my rots, en daar is geen ongeregtigheid by Hom nie.”
