Hoe lieflik is u woning, Here, Heerser oor alle magte!

My hele wese verlang, ja, smag na die voorhowe van die Here; my hart en liggaam roep uit na die lewende God.
4
Selfs 'n mossie vind 'n tuiste, en 'n swaeltjie haar nes waarin sy haar kleintjies neerlê, by u altare, Here, Heerser oor alle magte, my Koning en my God!
5
Gelukkig is hulle wat in u huis woon! Hulle loof U gedurig.
6
Gelukkig is mense wie se krag in U lê! Die pelgrimstogte leef in hulle gedagtes:
7
Trek hulle deur die Baka-vallei, maak hulle daarvan 'n landskap ryk aan fonteine; die vroeë reën maak dit selfs vol waterpoele.
8
Hulle gaan van krag tot krag; elkeen verskyn voor God in Sion.
9
Here, God, Heerser oor alle magte, hoor tog my gebed, luister tog, God van Jakob!
10
O God, sien ons skild raak, slaan ag op u gesalfde;
11
want 'n dag in u voorhowe is beter as duisend daarbuite. Ek wag liewer op die drumpel van die huis van my God as om te woon in die tente van goddeloosheid.
12
Ja, 'n son en skild is die Here God; genade en eer is wat die Here skenk. Hy hou wat goed is nie terug van hulle wat onberispelik leef nie.
13
Here, Heerser oor alle magte, gelukkig is mense wat op U vertrou!
