Onheil sal jou nie oorval nie en 'n plaag sal nie naby jou tent kom nie,

want Hy sal sy engele oor jou opdrag gee om jou te beskerm op al jou paaie.

Op die hande sal hulle jou dra, sodat jou voet nie teen 'n klip stamp nie.

Op leeus en horingslange sal jy trap, jong leeus en slange sal jy vertrap.

“Omdat hy My liefhet, sal Ek hom bevry; Ek sal hom beskerm omdat hy my Naam ken.
15
Hy sal My aanroep, en Ek sal hom antwoord. Ek sal by hom wees in nood; Ek sal hom red en aan hom eer gee.
16
Met 'n lang lewe sal Ek hom versadig; Ek sal hom my verlossing laat ervaar.”
