Múscail, a anam liom! Músclaígí, a chláirseach asgus a chruit; músclóidh mé féin an maidneachan.

Gabhfaidh mé buíochas leat idir na ciníocha, a Thiarna; molfaidh mé thú i measc na náisiún.
4
Óir síneann do bhuanghrá chun na bhflaitheas, agus do dhílse chun na spéartha.
5
Éirigh in airde os cionn na bhflaitheas, a Dhia; bíodh do ghlóir os cionn an domhain uile.
6
Ionas go ndéanfaí d' aos grá a shaoradh, fóir orainn le do dheasláimh agus éist linn.
7
Labhair Dia ina shanctóir agus gheall sé: «Roinnfidh mé Seicim go ríméadach agus déanfaidh mé Gleann Sucót a thomhas.
8
Is liom tír Ghileád, is liom Manaise; is é Eafráim clogad mo chinn. Is é Iúdá mar an gcéanna mo ríshlat;
9
Is é Móáb mo bháisín níocháin. Ar Eadóm a bhuailfidh mé mo bhróg; agus béarfaidh mé bua ar Fhilistía.»

Cé sheolfaidh isteach mé sa chathair chosanta? Cé thabharfaidh go hEadóm isteach mé?
11
Nach tú a chuir uait sinn, a Dhia; ionas nach ngabhann tú amach lenár sluaite?
12
Tabhair cúnamh dúinn in éadan ár naimhde, óir is díomhaoin é cúnamh ón duine.
13
Déanfaimid gaisce le cúnamh ó Dhia, óir is é a ghabhfaidh de chosa inár naimhde.
