Go n-éirí m' urnaí mar thúis i d' fhianaise; go raibh ardú mo lámh mar íobairt tráthnona.
3
Cuir glas ar mo bhéal, achainím ort, a Thiarna; bí ag faire mar an gcéanna ar dhoras mo bhruas.
4
Ná claon mo chroí chun oilc ar bith ná chun drochbhearta a dhéanamh le lucht na hurchóide; nár ithe mé sólais sho-bhlasta ina gcuideachta.
5
Má bhuaileann an fíréan mé is le barr cineáltais é; má thugann sé casaoid dom, is ola do mo cheann é. Ach maidir le lucht an oilc, bím ag urnaí i gcónaí, bíonn m' urnaí i gcónaí in aghaidh a ndrochbheart.
6
Caithfear a mbreithiúna go léir le haill; beidh a fhios acu an uair sin gur caoin iad mo bhriathra.
7
Mar charraig a scoiltear ina smionagar ar an talamh, scaipfear a gcnámha ag béal na huaighe.
8
Ortsa, a Thiarna, a Dhia liom, atá mo shúile; ortsa atá mo thriall, ná fág m' anam gan dídean.
9
Cosain mé ar an ngaiste a chuir siad i bhfearas romham; saor mé ar ribí lucht déanta na hurchóide.
10
Go gceaptar na héagráifigh go léir ina líonta féin; ach deonaigh go dtaga mise slán sábháilte uathu.
