Éirigh! tabhair breithiúnas ar an talamh; tabhair a ndíol do lucht an díomais.
3
Cá fhad a mhaífidh na héagráifigh, a Thiarna; cá fhad a mhaífidh siad a mbua?
4
Ag gaotaireacht dóibh is ag labhairt go díomasach, bíonn na hainbheartaigh ag maíomh go mórtasach.
5
Gabhann siad de chosa i do phobal, a Thiarna, agus déanann siad d' oidhreacht a chiapadh.
6
Maraíonn siad an bhaintreach is an strainséir, agus tugann siad ár an dílleachta.
7
Agus deir siad: «Ní fheiceann an Tiarna é; ní thugann Dia Iacóib dá aire é.»
8
Bíodh tuiscint agaibh, a lucht na díchéille; a phleidhcí an phobail, bíodh ciall agaibh!
9
An té a chruthaigh an chluas, an ea nach gcluinfidh sé? agus an té a chum an tsúil, an ea nach bhfeicfidh sé?
10
An té a smachtaíonn na náisiúin nach n-agróidh sé? an té a theagascann na daoine, nach mbeidh eolas aige?
11
Is eol don Tiarna smaointe an duine; is eol dó nach bhfuil iontu ach puth anála.
12
Is méanar don té a gcuireann tú smacht air, a Thiarna; an té dá dtugann tú teagasc faoi do dhlí.
13
Tugann tú faoiseamh dó in aimsir a thrioblóide, nó go dtochlaítear clais don urchóideach.
14
Óir ní thréigfidh an Tiarna a phobal; ní thabharfaidh sé droim láimhe lena oidhreacht,
15
nó go mbéarfar breithiúnas de réir an chirt; agus go leanfaidh lucht an chroí dhírigh go léir é.
16
Cé sheasfaidh liom in aghaidh na n-ainbheartach do mo chosaint ar lucht déanta an oilc?
17
Murach an Tiarna a theacht i gcabhair orm, ní fada go mbeadh m' anam ag lonnú i log an chiúnais.
18
Nuair a shílim go bhfuil mo chosa ag imeacht uaim, is é do bhuanghrá, a Thiarna, a choinníonn i mo sheasamh mé.
19
Nuair is líonmhar iad buarthaí mo chroí, cuireann do shóláis aoibhneas ar m' anam.
20
An mbeidh cúirt na gcoirpeach i gcomhar leat, an dream a chuireann clóca an dlí ar an mioscais?
21
Tugann siad fogha faoi anam an fhíréin, agus daorann siad an neamhchiontach chun báis.
22
Bíodh acu! sé an Tiarna mo dhaingean agus sé Dia carraig mo dhídine.
23
Tabharfaidh sé a n-urchóid sa mhullach orthu, agus scriosfaidh iad lena mailís féin; millfidh an Tiarna ár nDia iad.
