Ná glaoigh ar do ghiolla chun breithiúnais; óir níl aon neach fíréanta i d' fhianaise.
3
Óir chuaigh an namhaid sa tóir orm; threascair sé m' anam go huir; thug sé orm fanacht sa dorchacht ar nós daoine atá marbh le fada.
4
Dá bhrí sin tháinig meath ar mo mheanma; agus chalcaigh mo chroí istigh ionam.
5
Is cuimhin liom na laethanta fadó; déanaim machnamh ar d' oibreacha go léir. Bím ag smaoineamh ar shaothar do lámh

agus sínim mo sciatháin amach chugat; mar thalamh spalptha bíonn m' anam ag tnúth leat.
7
Éist liom gan mhoill, a Thiarna, óir tá mo mheanma á cloí. Ná cuir d' aghaidh i bhfolach orm, sula mbeinn cosúil leis an dream a ghabhann san uaigh.
8
Cuir do bhuanghrá in iúl dom ar maidin, óir is ionat a chuirim mo dhóchas. Tabhair dom eolas na slí atá le triall agam, óir is chugatsa a thógaim m' anam.
9
Fuascail mé ó m' eascairde, a Thiarna; óir chuir mé mé féin faoi do choimirce.
10
Múin dom do thoil a dhéanamh, óir is tú mo Dhia, a Thiarna. Go ndéana do dhea-spiorad mé a sheoladh, isteach sa talamh comhréidh.
11
Cosain mo bheo as ucht d' ainm, a Thiarna; i d' fhíréantacht saor m' anam ón anacair.
12
Déan mo naimhde a dhíothú as ucht do chineáltais; agus cuir ó mhaith a mbíonn ag déanamh cos ar bolg orm; óir is mé do sheirbhíseach, a Thiarna.
