3 Mar chuir tú féin na ciníocha i mbéal a gcinn gur phlandaigh tú ár sinsir ina n-ionad.

4 Óir ní lena gclaíomh féin a ghabhadar an talamh níorbh é a gcuisle féin a shaor iad ach do dheaslámh féin is do chuisle agus gile do ghnúise, mar b' iad do ghrá iad.

5 Is tú mo rí agus mo Dhia a thug barr agus bua do Iacób.

6 Is tríotsa a chloíomar ár naimhde gur ghabhamar de chosa i lucht ceannairce i d' ainm.

7 Óir ní i mo bhogha a chuir mé mo dhóchas, ná níorbh é mo chlaíomh a thug saor mé,

8 ach is tusa a shábháil ónár naimhde sinn agus a chuir náire ar an drong a thug fuath dúinn.

9 Bhímis ag maíomh as Dia i dtólamh agus ag tabhairt moladh do d' ainm de shíor. Selah

10 Ach anois tugann tú droim láimhe dúinn go dímheasúil agus ní ghabhann tú amach lenár sluaite.

11 Tugann tú orainn cúlú roimh ár naimhde agus déanann lucht ár bhfuatha slad orainn.

12 Thug tú suas sinn mar chaoirigh chun ár maraithe. Chuir tú scaipeadh orainn ar fud na gciníocha.

13 Dhíol tú do phobal in aisce, agus ní bhfuair tú dada de bharr a ndíolta.

14 Rinne tú ábhar achasáin dínn dár gcomharsana, cúis gháire dá mbíonn inár dtimpeall,
14
15 ceap aithise i mbéal na gciníocha agus ceap magaidh i measc na náisiún.

16 Bíonn mo tharcaisne os mo chomhair de shíor agus luisne na náire i mo leiceann
16
17 de bharr ghlór an scigire agus an sciolladóra de dheasca an namhad agus an díoltasaí.

18 Tháinig na nithe seo uile orainn anuas siúd is nach ndearnamar dearmad ort, is nach rabhamar mídhílis do do chonradh

19 ná ní dheachaigh ár gcroí ar gcúl, ná ní dheachaigh ár gcosa ar seachrán uait,

20 bíodh gur bhrúigh tú in áit na hainnise sinn agus gur fholaigh tú le scáil an bháis sinn.

21 Dá ndéanaimis dearmad ar ainm ár nDé nó dá leathaimis ár lámha chun dé eile,

22 nach mbeadh a fhios sin ag Dia? Óir is eol dó rúndiamhra an chroí.

23 Ar do shonsa tugtar ár n-ár ar feadh an lae agus meastar sinn mar chaoirigh atá le bású.

24 Múscail! Cad é an codladh sin ort, a Thiarna? Bí i do dhúiseacht! ná diúltaigh dúinn de shíor!

25 Cén fáth a gceileann tú do ghnúis orainn agus nach cuimhin leat ár n-ainnise is ár n-ansmacht?

26 Óir leagadh ar lár sinn sa luaithreach agus buaileadh ár gcorp ar an talamh.

27 Éirigh i do sheasamh agus cabhraigh linn agus fuascail sinn as ucht do thrócaire.
