A Thiarna, cad é an duine go dtógfá ceann de, nó mac an duine go mbeadh meas agat air?

Is cosúil an duine le puth anála; agus a ré le scáil a ghabhann thart.

Ísligh do spéartha agus tuirling; bain leis na sléibhte agus déanfaidh siad deatach.

Teilg amach uait na splancacha agus scaip iad; scaoil uait do shaigheada á dtreascairt.

Sín do lámh uait anuas le mé a shaoradh is a fhuascailt ó na tuilte agus ó láimh na n-eachtrannach,

Tabhair saor ó chlaíomh an oilc mé; sábháil ó láimh na n-eachtrannach mé, a mbíonn an bhréag de shíor ina mbéal acu, agus a ndeaslámh ina deasláimh éithigh acu.

Gura cosúil ár gclann mhac le húrchrainn, agus iad ag fás ina n-óige; gura cosúil ar n-iníonacha le colúin chúinne, arna snoí mar cholúin an teampaill.

Go raibh ár sciobóil ag cur thar maoil le gach toradh, agus ár dtréada ag breith ina mílte, agus ina ndeicheanna de mhílte inár bpáirceanna.

Go raibh ár mbólacht trom torrach le laonna; ná raibh ár múrtha briste bearnach; ná raibh deoraíocht, ná raibh círéib ná clampar inár sráideanna.
