Na atukuzwe Bwana aliye mwamba wangu! Ndiye aliyeifundisha mikono yangu kupiga vita, ijue hata kupiga konde kwenye mapigano.
2
Ndiye aniendeaye kwa upole, ni ngome yangu na boma langu. Kwa kuwa ngao yangu na kimbilio langu ndiye aniponyaye, yeye ndiye awashurutishaye walio ukoo wangu, wanitii.
3
Bwana, mtu ndio nini, ukimjua? Mwana wa mtu naye, usipomsahau?
4
Mtu hufanana kuwa kama mvuke, siku zake hupita kama kivuli.
5
Bwana, ziinamishe mbingu zako, utelemke! Iguse milima, itoke moshi!
6
Mulikisha umeme, uwatapanye! Ipige mishale yako, uwastushe!
7
Utume mkono wako toka juu, uniopoe! Kwenye maji mengi uniponye! Nitoe mikononi mwao walio wageni tu!
8
Maana vinywa vyao husema maneno ya bure, mikono yao ya kuume ni yenye uwongo.
9
Mungu, nitakuimbia wimbo mpya pamoja na kukupigia pango lenye nyuzi kumi.
10
Yeye ndiye awapatiaye wokovu nao wafalme, naye mtumishi wake Dawidi humwopoa, upanga mbaya usimpige.
11
Niopoe na kuniponya mikononi mwao walio wageni tu! Maana vinywa vyao husema maneno ya bure, mikono yao ya kuume ni yenye uwongo.
12
Wana wetu wa kiume katika ujana wao tunawaombea, wakue kama miti ya kupandwa iliyotunzwa vizuri! Nao wana wetu wa kike na wawe kama nguzo zilizochorwa vizuri kuwa mapambo yao majumba matukufu.
13
Vichanja vyetu na viwe vimejaa, vipate kutoa vilaji viwavyo vyote! Kondoo wetu na wawe wengi sana wakizaa maelfu na maelfu mashambani kwetu!
14
Ng'ombe wetu na wawe wenye mimba, wasipatwe na kidei wala na mengine yawamalizayo, pasiwe na vilio nyuani petu!
15
Wenye shangwe ni ukoo wa watu wayapatayo yayo hayo. Wenye shangwe ni ukoo wa watu, Bwana akiwa Mungu wao.
