Ni kitu kizuri kumshukuru Bwana na kuliimbia Jina lako, ulioko huko juu,
2
asubuhi kuutangaza upole wako, tena usiku welekevu wako
3
kwa kupiga mapango yenye nyuzi kumi pamoja na mazeze yaliayo vizuri.
4
Kwani, wewe Bwana, umenifurahisha kwa matendo yako, kazi za mikono yako ninazishangilia.
5
Kazi zako, Bwana, ni kubwa peke yao, mawazo yako ni marefu mno, hayachunguziki.
6
Lakini mtu asiyejua kitu hayatambui, wala mpumbavu hayaoni hayo.
7
Wasiomcha Mungu wakichipuka kama majani, nao wote wafanyao maovu wakichanua vizuri, ni kwamba tu: Sharti waangamizwe kale na kale.
8
Wewe, Bwana, unatukuka kale na kale.
9
Kwani, Bwana, ukiwatazama wao wachukivu wako, ukiwatazama vema wao wachukivu wako, mara hupotea, wote wafanyao maovu hutawanyika.
10
Lakini baragumu langu umelielekeza juu kama pembe za nyati, nikafurikiwa na mafuta ya mwaka huu.
11
Macho yangu yataona furaha kwao walioninyatia, masikio yangu yatayasikia na kiyafurahia, wabaya walioniinukia waliyofanyiziwa.

Mwongofu atachipuka kama mtende, atakua kama mwangati ulioko Libanoni.

Kwenye Nyumba ya Bwana wako wlaiopandwa huko, watachipuza matawi katika nyua zake Mungu wetu;
14
ijapo, wawe wazee, wataendelea kuzaa, maana watakuwa wenye utomvu na majani mengi.
15
Hivyo watautangaza unyofu, Bwana alio nao; mwake yeye aliye mwamba wangu hamna upotovu.
