Kwa mwimbishaji, auimbishe kama wimbo wa kwamba: Maua ya porini hushuhudia. Wimbo wa Asafu

Mchungaji wa Isiraeli, sikiliza! Wewe umchungaye Yosefu, kama ni kundi la kondoo, wewe ukaaye juu ya Makerubi, utokeze mwanga wako,

Efuraimu na Benyamini na Manase na waone, jinsi unavyoziamsha nguvu zako kuu ukija kutuokoa!
4
Wewe Mungu, turudishe kwako! Utuangazie uso wako! Ndivyo, tutakavyookoka.
5
Bwana Mungu Mwenye vikosi, utakasirika mpaka lini, ijapo wakulalamikie walio ukoo wako?
6
Umewalisha mikate iwalizayo, nayo machozi yao yakawa vinywaji, ulivyowanywesha kwa vikombe.
7
Umetuacha, majirani zetu wakapigana wao kwa wao, watupate sisi, nao adui zetu wanatusimanga.
8
Mungu Mwenye vikosi, turudishe kwako! Utuangazie uso wako! Ndivyo, tutakavyookoka.
9
Uko mzabibu, ulioung'oa kule Misri; ukafukuza wamizimu, ukaupanda mahali pao.
10
Ukaupanulia, uweze kutia mizizi yake, ukaieneza nchi.
11
Milima ikafunikwa na kivuli chake, nayo miangati ya Mungu ikafunikwa na matawi yake mengi.
12
Ukayaendesha machipukizi yake mpaka baharini, nayo miche yake ukaifikisha kwenye mto mkubwa.
13
Mbona umekibomoa kitalu chake, wote wapitao njia wakapata kuuchuma?
14
Nguruwe wa mwituni wakauchimbachimba, nao nyama wa porini wakaula.
15
Mungu Mwenye vikosi, tunakuomba: Rudi! Chungulia toka mbinguni, uvione! Huo mzabibu wako uutazama!
16
Uuangalie! Maana mkono wako wa kuume ndio ulioupanda, ni mwanao, uliyemkuza na kumpa nguvu.
17
Umechomwa na moto, ukakatwakatwa; lakini kwa makaripio ya uso wako wataangamia.
18
Mtu, mkono wako wa kuume uliyemweka, mkono wako na umshike! Na umshike huyo mwana wa mtu, uliyemkuza na kumpa nguvu!
19
Nasi hatutaki kuondoka kwako wewe; kusudi tupate kulikuza Jina lako, tupe uzima tena!
20
Bwana Mungu Mwenye vikosi, turudishe kwako! Utuangazie uso wako! Ndivyo, tutakavyookoka.
