Nihurumie, Mungu, kwa upole wako!

Kwa uchungu wako mwingi, unaotuonea, yafute mapotovu yangu!

Kaza kuniogesha, manza, nilizozikora, zinitoke! Kusudi makosa yangu yaondoke kwangu, na unitakase!

Kwani mapotovu yangu ninayajua, nayo makosa yangu ninayatazama siku zote.

Wewe peke yako ndiwe, ambaye nimemkosea, nikayafanya yaliyo mabaya machoni pako; sharti wongofu wako utokezwe na maneno yako, nayo maamuzi yako yakutokeze kuwa mtakatifu.
7
Unaona, wao, niliozaliwa nao, walikuwa wenye manza, mama yangu aliipata mimba yangu kwa kukosa.
8
Lakini wewe unapendezwa nayo ya kweli, yakiwa ndani moyoni; unifunze, hata mambo yajifichayo yanielekee.
9
Nieue ukininyunyizia kivumbasi, nipate kutakata! Niogeshe, nipate kung'aa kama chokaa juani!
10
Nipe, nisikie tena shangwe za furaha, mifupa, uliyoivunja, ipige vigelegele!
11
Ufiche uso wako, usiyaone hayo makosa yangu! Yafute manza zote, nilizozikora!
12
Mungu, niumbie moyo utakatao! Nayo roho uirudishie upya kifuani mwangu, ipate nguvu!
13
Usinitupe na kuniondoa usoni pako, wala Roho yako takatifu usiitoe mwangu!
14
Nifurahishe tena na kuniokoa! Kwa kunipa roho ipendayo kutumika unishikize!
15
Hivyo nitawafundisha wapotovu njia zako, wakosaji wapate kurudi kwako wewe!
16
Mungu, nikomboe katika manza za damu, nilizozikora! maana u Mungu aniokoaye, ulimi wangu ukushangilie kwamba: U mwongofu!
17
Bwana, ifumbue midomo yangu, kinywa changu kiyatangaze matukuzo yako!
18
Kwani hupendezwi na ng'ombe za tambiko, ningekupa; nayo ng'ombe ya tambiko iteketezwayo nzima huitaki.
19
Ng'ombe za tambiko, Mungu apendazo, ni roho ivunjikayo, moyo uliovunjika kwa kupondeka, wewe Mungu, hutaubeza.
20
Na vikupendeze kufanya, pale Sioni pawe pazuri, nayo maboma ya Yerusalemu yajenge tena!
21
Kisha utapendezwana ng'ombe za tambiko zilizo za kweli, ni zile za kuchomwa motoni nazo za kuteketezwa nzima; hapo ndipo, watakapokupelekea ng'ombe mezani pako pa kutambikia.
