Yn y flwyddyn y daeth Tartan i Asdod, pan ddanfonodd Sargon brenin Asyria ef, ac yr ymladdodd yn erbyn Asdod ac a'i henillodd hi;

Yr amser hwnnw y bu gair yr ARGLWYDD trwy law Eseia mab Amos, gan ddywedyd, Dos, a datod y sachliain oddi am dy lwynau, a diosg dy esgidiau oddi am dy draed. Ac efe a wnaeth felly, gan rodio yn noeth, ac heb esgidiau.

Dywedodd yr ARGLWYDD hefyd, Megis y rhodiodd fy ngwas Eseia yn noeth ac heb esgidiau dair blynedd yn arwydd ac yn argoel yn erbyn yr Aifft, ac yn erbyn Ethiopia;
4
Felly yr arwain brenin Asyria gaethiwed yr Aifft, a chaethglud Ethiopia, sef yn llanciau a hynafgwyr, yn noethion ac heb esgidiau, ac yn dinnoeth, yn warth i'r Aifft.
5
Brawychant a chywilyddiant o achos Ethiopia eu gobaith hwynt, ac o achos yr Aifft eu gogoniant hwy.
6
A'r dydd hwnnw y dywed preswylwyr yr ynys hon, Wele, fel hyn y mae ein gobaith ni, lle y ffoesom am gymorth i'n gwared rhag brenin Asyria: a pha fodd y dihangwn?
