Alléluia! Acclamez le Seigneur, acclamez-le, vous qui le servez,

qui vous tenez dans le temple du Seigneur, dans les cours de la maison de notre Dieu!

Alléluia, car le Seigneur est bon; célébrez-le par vos chants, car il est digne d'être aimé.

Le Seigneur s'est choisi Jacob, il a fait d'Israël le peuple qui lui appartient.

Oui, je le sais: le Seigneur est grand; notre maître surpasse tous les dieux!

Le Seigneur réalise tout ce qu'il veut, dans les cieux et sur la terre, sur les mers ou dans leurs profondeurs.

Il fait monter les nuages de l'horizon, il lance des éclairs pour déclencher la pluie, et il lâche la bride aux vents.

C'est lui qui, en Égypte, a frappé de mort les premiers-nés, tant chez les humains que parmi le bétail.
9
Au milieu de toi, Égypte, il envoya des signes impressionnants et des prodiges contre le pharaon et tous ses serviteurs.

Il a frappé de nombreux peuples, il a fait succomber des rois puissants:

c'étaient Sihon, roi des Amorites, Og, roi du Bachan, et tous les rois de Canaan.

Il a donné leur pays en patrimoine, en patrimoine à Israël, son peuple.
13
Seigneur, ton nom subsistera pour toujours, ton souvenir demeure de génération en génération.
14
Oui, le Seigneur rend justice à son peuple, il est sensible au sort de ceux qui le servent.
15
Les idoles des autres peuples, qu'elles soient d'argent ou d'or, ne sont qu'un produit fabriqué par des mains humaines.
16
Elles ont une bouche, mais ne parlent pas. Elles ont des yeux, mais n'y voient rien;
17
des oreilles, mais n'entendent pas. Et il n'y a pas le moindre souffle dans leur bouche!
18
Que ceux qui les ont fabriquées deviennent comme elles, ainsi que les personnes qui mettent leur confiance en elles!
19
Vous, les tribus d'Israël, bénissez le Seigneur! Vous les prêtres, descendants d'Aaron, bénissez le Seigneur!
20
Vous les lévites, bénissez le Seigneur! Vous qui reconnaissez l'autorité du Seigneur, bénissez le Seigneur!
21
Que de Jérusalem monte une bénédiction pour le Seigneur, qui a sa demeure sur la montagne de Sion. Alléluia!
