Psaume. Chant pour le jour du sabbat.

Comme il est bon de te louer, Seigneur, de te célébrer en chantant, Dieu très-haut!

d'annoncer dès le matin ta bonté, et pendant les nuits ta fidélité,

au son du luth et de la harpe, aux accords de la lyre!

Seigneur, tu me réjouis par ce que tu fais. Je crie ma joie pour ce que tu réalises.

Seigneur, que tes actions sont grandes et tes pensées profondes!

Celui qui est stupide ne s'en rend pas compte, l'insensé n'y comprend rien.
8
Les personnes méchantes poussent comme la mauvaise herbe, les gens malfaisants sont tous florissants, mais la destruction définitive les attend.
9
Toi, Seigneur, tu domines pour toujours.
10
Et tes ennemis, Seigneur, oui tes ennemis, ils périront, et ceux qui font le malheur des autres seront tous dispersés.
11
Tu m'as donné la force du buffle, tu as versé sur moi de l'huile fraîche.
12
Mes yeux voient mes adversaires, mes oreilles entendent mes agresseurs, ils me veulent du mal.
13
Mais le juste pousse droit comme un palmier, il s'étend comme un cèdre du Liban.
14
Il est un arbre planté dans la maison du Seigneur, il s'épanouit dans les cours du temple de notre Dieu.
15
Même en vieillissant, il porte encore des fruits, il reste plein de sève, ses feuilles sont toujours vertes,
16
il est la preuve vivante que le Seigneur est juste et sans détour, lui mon rocher.
