Pourquoi as-tu forcé sa clôture? Tu laisses les passants la piller,

Reviens, Dieu de l'univers! Du haut des cieux, regarde, vois ce qui arrive, et interviens pour cette vigne.

Protège ce que tu as toi-même planté, cet enfant que tu as fait grandir.

Que ceux qui l'ont brûlée et rasée disparaissent devant tes menaces.

Que ta main reste posée sur celui qui est à ta droite, sur celui que tu as fait grandir.

Alors nous ne nous écarterons plus de toi, tu nous rendras la vie, et c'est toi que nous adorerons.
