('n Psalm van Dawid.) Loof die HERE, o my siel, en alles wat in my is, loof sy heilige Naam.
2
Loof die HERE, o my siel, en vergeet nie al sy weldade nie.
3
Wat al U ongeregtighede vergewe; wat al jou siektes genees;
4
Wie verlos jou lewe van ondergang; wat jou kroon met goedertierenheid en barmhartighede;
5
Wie versadig jou mond met goeie dinge; sodat jou jeug vernuwe word soos dié van die arend.
6
Die HERE doen geregtigheid en reg aan almal wat verdruk is.
7
Hy het sy weë aan Moses bekend gemaak, sy dade aan die kinders van Israel.
8
Barmhartig en genadig is die HERE, lankmoedig en groot van goedertierenheid.
9
Hy sal nie altyd twis nie, en Hy sal sy toorn nie vir ewig bewaar nie.
10
Hy het nie met ons gehandel na ons sondes nie; en het ons nie vergeld volgens ons ongeregtighede nie.
11
Want soos die hemel hoog bo die aarde is, so groot is sy barmhartigheid teenoor die wat Hom vrees.
12
So ver as die ooste van die weste af is, so ver verwyder Hy ons oortredinge van ons.
13
Soos 'n vader hom ontferm oor sy kinders, so ontferm die HERE Hom oor die wat Hom vrees.
14
Want Hy ken ons gedaante; hy onthou dat ons stof is.
15
Wat die mens betref, sy dae is soos gras; soos 'n blom van die veld, so bloei hy.
16
Want die wind trek daaroor, en dit is weg; en sy plek sal dit nie meer ken nie.
17
Maar die goedertierenheid van die HERE is van ewigheid tot ewigheid oor die wat Hom vrees, en sy geregtigheid vir kinderkinders;
18
Aan die wat sy verbond hou en aan die wat sy gebooie onthou om dit te doen.
19
Die HERE het sy troon in die hemel gereed gemaak; en sy koninkryk heers oor alles.
20
Loof die HERE, sy engele, wat oorheers in krag, wat sy gebooie doen, en luister na die stem van sy woord.
21
Loof die HERE, al sy leërskare; julle dienaars van Hom, wat sy welbehae doen.
22
Loof die HERE, al sy werke in al die plekke van sy heerskappy; loof die HERE, o my siel!
