Ek het die HERE lief, want Hy het my stem en my smekinge gehoor.
2
Omdat hy sy oor tot My geneig het, daarom sal ek hom aanroep so lank as wat ek lewe.
3
Die smarte van die dood het my omsingel, en die smarte van die doderyk het my aangegryp; ek het benoudheid en droefheid gevind.
4
Toe het ek die Naam van die HERE aangeroep; O HERE, red tog my siel.
5
Genadig is die HERE en regverdig; ja, ons God is genadig.
6
Die HERE bewaar die eenvoudiges: ek is verneder, en Hy het my gehelp.
7
Keer terug na jou rus, o my siel! want die HERE het goed aan jou gedoen.
8
Want U het my siel gered van die dood, my oë van trane en my voete van val.
9
Ek sal voor die aangesig van die HERE wandel in die land van die lewendes.
10
Ek het geglo, daarom het ek gespreek: Ek was baie verdruk;
11
Ek het in my haas gesê: Alle mense is leuenaars.
12
Wat moet ek die HERE vergeld vir al sy weldade aan my?
13
Ek sal die beker van verlossing neem en die Naam van die HERE aanroep.
14
Ek sal nou my geloftes aan die HERE betaal in die teenwoordigheid van sy hele volk.
15
Kosbaar in die oë van die HERE is die dood van sy heiliges.
16
O HERE, waarlik, ek is U kneg; Ek is U dienaar en die seun van U slavin; U het my boeie losgemaak.
17
Ek sal aan jou 'n dankoffer bring en die Naam van die HERE aanroep.
18
Ek sal nou my geloftes aan die HERE betaal in die teenwoordigheid van sy hele volk,
19
In die voorhowe van die huis van die HERE, in jou midde, o Jerusalem! Prys die HERE.
