('n Gebed van Dawid.) Buig u oor, HERE, luister na my, want ek is arm en behoeftig.
2
Bewaar my siel; want ek is heilig; o my God, verlos U kneg wat op U vertrou.
3
Wees my genadig, HERE, want ek roep U elke dag aan.
4
Verbly die siel van U kneg, want tot U, HERE, hef ek my siel op.
5
Want U, HERE, is goed en bereid om te vergewe; en oorvloedig in barmhartigheid vir almal wat U aanroep.
6
Luister, o HERE, na my gebed; en luister na die stem van my smekinge.
7
Op die dag van my benoudheid sal ek U aanroep, want U sal my antwoord.
8
Onder die gode is daar niemand soos U nie, HERE; en daar is geen werke soos u werke nie.
9
Al die nasies wat U gemaak het, sal kom en voor U aanbid, HERE; en sal u Naam verheerlik.
10
Want U is groot en doen wonders; U alleen is God.
11
Leer my U weg, HERE; Ek sal in u waarheid wandel; verenig my hart om U Naam te vrees.
12
Ek wil U loof, HERE my God, met my hele hart; en ek sal U Naam verheerlik tot in ewigheid.
13
Want groot is U goedertierenheid oor my, en U het my siel uit die doderyk gered.
14
O God, hoogmoediges het teen my opgestaan, en die menigtes van geweldenaars het my siel gesoek; en het jou nie voor hulle gestel nie.
15
Maar U, HERE, is 'n God vol medelye en genadig, lankmoedig en groot van goedertierenheid en waarheid.
16
Bekeer julle tot my en wees my genadig; gee U krag aan U kneg en verlos die seun van U slavin.
17
Wys my 'n teken ten goede; sodat die wat my haat, dit kan sien en beskaamd staan, omdat U, HERE, my gehoop en my getroos het.
