Want u pyle steek vas in my, en u hand druk my seer.

Daar is geen gesondheid in my vlees vanweë U toorn nie; en daar is geen rus in my gebeente vanweë my sonde nie.
4
Want my ongeregtighede het oor my hoof gegaan; soos 'n swaar las is hulle vir my te swaar.
5
My wonde stink en is korrup vanweë my dwaasheid.
6
Ek is ontsteld; Ek is baie neergebuig; Ek gaan rou die hele dag lank.
7
Want my heupe is vol van 'n afskuwelike siekte, en daar is geen gesonde liggaam in my vlees nie.
8
Ek is swak en baie gebroke; ek het gebrul vanweë die onrus van my hart.
9
HERE, al my begeerte is voor U; en my gekerm is vir jou nie verborge nie.
10
My hart smag, my krag begewe my; die lig van my oë, dit is ook van my weg.
11
My minnaars en my vriende staan ver van my seer; en my broers het van ver af gestaan.
12
En die wat my lewe soek, lê strikke vir my, en die wat my onheil soek, praat onheilspellende dinge en bedink bedrog die hele dag.
13
Maar ek, soos 'n dowe, het nie gehoor nie; en ek was soos 'n stom man wat sy mond nie oopmaak nie.
14
So was ek soos 'n man wat nie hoor nie en in wie se mond geen teregwysings is nie.
15
Want op U, HERE, hoop ek; U sal hoor, HERE my God.
16
Want ek het gesê: Luister na my, anders sou hulle oor my bly wees; as my voet gly, maak hulle hul teen my groot.
17
Want ek is gereed om te stop, en my droefheid is altyddeur voor my.
18
Want Ek sal my ongeregtigheid verkondig; Ek sal jammer wees oor my sonde.
19
Maar my vyande is lewendig en sterk, en die wat my onregmatig haat, word vermenigvuldig.
20
Ook hulle wat kwaad vir goed vergeld, is my teëstanders; want ek volg die ding wat goed is.
21
Verlaat my nie, HERE, o my God, wees nie ver van my af nie.
22
Maak gou om my te help, HERE, my verlossing.
