('n Psalm vir Salomo.) Gee aan die koning U oordele, o God, en U geregtigheid aan die seun van die koning.
2
Hy sal jou volk oordeel met geregtigheid en jou armes met reg.
3
Die berge sal vrede bring vir die volk, en die klein heuwels deur geregtigheid.
4
Hy sal die armes van die volk oordeel, die kinders van die behoeftiges red en die verdrukker verbrysel.
5
Hulle sal U vrees solank die son en die maan bestaan, van geslag tot geslag.
6
Hy sal neerdaal soos reën op die gesnyde gras, soos buie wat die aarde natmaak.
7
In sy dae sal die regverdige bloei; en oorvloed van vrede so lank as die maan is.
8
Hy sal ook heers van see tot see en van die rivier tot aan die eindes van die aarde.
9
Die wat in die woestyn woon, sal voor hom buig; en sy vyande sal die stof lek.
10
Die konings van Tarsis en van die eilande moet geskenke bring; die konings van Skeba en Seba sal geskenke aanbied.
11
Ja, al die konings sal voor hom neerval; al die nasies sal hom dien.
12
Want hy sal die behoeftige red as hy roep; ook die arme en hy wat geen helper het nie.
13
Hy sal die armes en behoeftiges spaar en die siele van die behoeftige red.
14
Hy sal hulle siel verlos van bedrog en geweld, en hulle bloed sal kosbaar wees in sy oë.
15
En hy sal lewe, en aan hom sal van die goud van Skeba gegee word; en elke dag sal Hy geprys word.
16
Daar sal 'n handvol koring in die aarde wees op die top van die berge; die vrugte daarvan sal bewe soos die Líbanon, en hulle van die stad sal bloei soos die gras van die aarde.
17
Sy Naam sal tot in ewigheid bestaan; sy Naam sal geduur word solank as die son, en mense sal in hom geseën word; al die nasies sal hom geseënd noem.
18
Geloofd sy die HERE God, die God van Israel, wat net wonders doen.
19
En sy heerlike Naam word geseën tot in ewigheid, en laat die hele aarde met sy heerlikheid vervul word; Amen, en Amen.
20
Die gebede van Dawid, die seun van Isai, is beëindig.
