Op U, HERE, stel ek my vertroue; laat my nooit in verwarring gebring word nie.
2
Red my in u geregtigheid en laat my ontvlug; neig u oor tot my en verlos my.
3
Wees my vaste woonplek waarheen ek gedurigdeur kan my toevlug; U het bevel gegee om my te red; want U is my rots en my vesting.
4
Red my, my God, uit die hand van die goddelose, uit die hand van die onregverdige en wrede mens.
5
Want U is my hoop, HERE HERE, U is my vertroue van my jeug af.
6
Deur U is ek opgehou van die moederskoot af; U is die een wat my uit die ingewande van my moeder geneem het; van U sal my lof gedurigdeur wees.
7
Ek is vir baie 'n wonder; maar jy is my sterk toevlug.
8
Laat my mond die hele dag vol wees met U lof en van u eer.
9
Verwerp my nie in die tyd van ouderdom nie; verlaat my nie as my krag opraak nie.
10
Want my vyande spreek teen my; en die wat op my siel lê en wag hou saam raad,
11
en gesê: God het hom verlaat; vervolg en neem hom; want daar is niemand om hom te red nie.
12
O God, wees nie ver van my af nie; o my God, maak gou vir my hulp.
13
Laat hulle beskaamd staan en verteer word wat my siel teëstanders is; laat hulle bedek word met smaad en oneer wat my onheil soek.
14
Maar ek sal gedurigdeur hoop en U nog meer en meer loof.
15
My mond sal U geregtigheid en U heil die hele dag verkondig; want ek weet nie die getalle daarvan nie.
16
Ek sal gaan in die sterkte van die HERE HERE: Ek wil U geregtigheid noem, ook van U alleen.
17
O God, U het my van my jeug af geleer, en tot dusver het ek U wonders verkondig.
18
Nou ook as ek oud en grys is, o God, verlaat my nie; totdat Ek U krag aan hierdie geslag bekend gemaak het en U krag aan elkeen wat kom.
19
Ook is u geregtigheid baie hoog, o God, wat groot dinge gedoen het; o God, wie is soos U!
20
U wat my groot en smarte benoudhede laat sien het, sal my weer lewend maak en my uit die dieptes van die aarde laat opkom.
21
U sal my grootheid vermeerder en my van alle kante vertroos.
22
Ek wil U ook met die harp loof, u waarheid, o my God; tot eer van U wil ek sing met die siter, o Heilige van Israel!
23
My lippe sal baie bly wees as ek tot eer van jou sing; en my siel wat U verlos het.
24
My tong sal ook die hele dag oor u geregtigheid praat, want hulle staan beskaamd, want hulle is beskaamd wat my onheil soek.
