Hy alleen is my rots en my heil; hy is my verdediging; Ek sal nie baie ontroer word nie.

Hoe lank sal julle onheil teen 'n man voorstel? julle sal almal gedood word; soos 'n buigende muur en soos 'n wankelende heining.

Hulle raadpleeg net om Hom van sy hoogheid af te werp; hulle het behae in leuens; hulle seën met hul mond, maar hulle vloek innerlik. Sela.

My siel, wag net op God; want my verwagting is van hom.
6
Hy alleen is my rots en my heil; hy is my beskutting; Ek sal nie geroer word nie.
7
In God is my heil en my heerlikheid: die rots van my sterkte en my toevlug is by God.

Vertrou altyd op Hom; volke, stort julle hart voor Hom uit: God is vir ons 'n toevlug. Sela.

Waarlik, manne van geringe graad is nietigheid, en manne van hoë graad is 'n leuen: om op die weegskaal gelê te word, is hulle heeltemal ligter as nietigheid.
10
Vertrou nie op verdrukking en word nie ydel deur roof nie; as rykdom toeneem, rig jou hart nie daarop nie.
11
God het eenmaal gespreek; twee keer het ek dit gehoor; daardie krag behoort aan God.
12
Ook aan U, HERE, behoort barmhartigheid, want U vergeld elkeen volgens sy werk.
