Prys die HERE. Prys die Naam van die HERE; loof Hom, o knegte van die HERE!
2
Julle wat staan in die huis van die HERE, in die voorhowe van die huis van onse God,
3
Loof die HERE; want die HERE is goed; sing tot eer van sy Naam; want dit is aangenaam.
4
Want die HERE het Jakob vir Hom uitverkies en Israel as sy eiendom.
5
Want ek weet dat die HERE groot is en dat onse HERE bo al die gode is.
6
Alles wat die HERE behaag het, dit het Hy gedoen in die hemel en op die aarde, in die see en al die wêreldvloede.
7
Hy laat die dampe opgaan van die eindes van die aarde af; hy maak weerlig vir die reën; hy bring die wind uit sy skatkamers.
8
Wat die eersgeborenes van Egipte geslaan het, van mense sowel as dier.
9
Wat tekens en wonders in jou midde gestuur het, o Egipte, teen Farao en al sy dienaars.
10
Wat groot nasies verslaan en magtige konings gedood het;
11
Sihon, die koning van die Amoriete, en Og, die koning van Basan, en al die koninkryke van Kanaän;
12
en hulle land as 'n erfdeel, 'n erfdeel aan sy volk Israel gegee het.
13
U Naam, HERE, is tot in ewigheid; en U gedagtenis, o HERE, van geslag tot geslag.
14
Want die HERE sal sy volk oordeel, en Hy sal berou hê oor sy dienaars.
15
Die afgode van die heidene is silwer en goud, die werk van mensehande.
16
Hulle het monde, maar hulle praat nie; hulle het oë, maar hulle sien nie;
17
Hulle het ore, maar hulle hoor nie; en daar is geen asem in hulle monde nie.
18
Die wat dit maak, is soos hulle; so is elkeen wat op hulle vertrou.
19
Loof die HERE, o huis van Israel, loof die HERE, o huis van Aäron!
20
Loof die HERE, o huis van Levi, julle wat die HERE vrees, loof die HERE.
21
Geseënd is die HERE uit Sion, wat in Jerusalem woon. Prys die HERE.
