(Aan die musiekleier, 'n psalm vir die seuns van Korag.) HERE, U was 'n welbehae vir U land, U het die lot van Jakob teruggebring.

U het die ongeregtigheid van u volk vergewe, U het al hulle sonde bedek. Sela.
3
U het al U grimmigheid weggeneem; U het uself afgewend van die gloed van u toorn.
4
Bekeer ons, o God van ons heil, en laat U toorn teen ons ophou.
5
Sal jy vir ewig vir ons toornig wees? sal U U toorn uittrek van geslag tot geslag?
6
Wil U ons nie weer lewend maak nie, sodat U volk in U bly kan wees?
7
Toon ons U goedertierenheid, HERE, en skenk ons U heil.
8
Ek sal hoor wat God die HERE sal spreek, want Hy sal vrede spreek tot sy volk en tot sy gunsgenote; maar laat hulle nie tot dwaasheid terugkeer nie.
9
Waarlik, sy heil is naby die wat Hom vrees; dat heerlikheid in ons land mag woon.
10
Barmhartigheid en waarheid word saam ontmoet; geregtigheid en vrede het mekaar gesoen.
11
Die waarheid sal uit die aarde spruit; en geregtigheid sal uit die hemel neerdaal.
12
Ja, die HERE sal gee wat goed is; en ons land sal sy opbrings gee.
13
Geregtigheid sal voor hom uit gaan; en sal ons stel op die weg van sy voetstappe.
