My siel smag, ja, beswyk ook na die voorhowe van die HERE; my hart en my vlees roep na die lewende God.

Ja, die mossie het 'n huis gevind, en die swaweltjie 'n nes vir haar, waar sy haar kleintjies kan neerlê, naamlik u altare, HERE van die leërskare, my Koning en my God.
4
Geseënd is die wat in u huis woon; hulle sal U nog loof. Sela.
5
Geseënd is die man wie se krag in jou is; in wie se hart hulle weë is.
6
Wat deur die dal van Baca trek, maak dit 'n put; die reën vul ook die poele.
7
Hulle gaan van krag tot krag, elkeen van hulle in Sion verskyn voor God.
8
O HERE, God van die leërskare, hoor my gebed; luister, o God van Jakob! Sela.
9
Kyk, o God, ons skild, en aanskou die aangesig van u gesalfde.
10
Want 'n dag in u voorhowe is beter as duisend. Ek sou liewer 'n poortwagter wees in die huis van my God as om in die tente van goddeloosheid te woon.
11
Want die HERE God is 'n son en skild; die HERE sal genade en heerlikheid gee; geen goeie ding sal Hy weerhou van die wat opreg wandel nie.
12
O HERE van die leërskare, geseënd is die man wat op U vertrou.
