(Aan die musiekleier op Nehilot, 'n psalm van Dawid.) Let op na my woorde, HERE, let op my oordenking.

Luister na die stem van my geroep, my Koning en my God, want tot U sal ek bid.
3
My stem sal U in die môre hoor, o HERE; in die môre sal ek my gebed tot U rig en opkyk.
4
Want U is nie 'n God wat behae het in goddeloosheid nie; en die kwaad sal nie by U woon nie.
5
Die dwase sal voor u oë nie bestaan nie; u haat al die werkers van ongeregtigheid.
6
Jy moet die wat lont praat, vernietig; die HERE sal 'n afsku het van die bloedige en bedrieglike man.
7
Maar wat my aangaan, ek sal in u huis kom in die grootheid van u goedertierenheid, en in u vrees sal ek aanbid na u heilige tempel.
8
Lei my, o HERE, in u geregtigheid ter wille van my vyande; maak jou pad reguit voor my aangesig.
9
Want daar is geen getrouheid in hulle mond nie; hulle binneste is baie boosheid; hulle keel is 'n oop graf; hulle vlei met hul tong.
10
Verdelg hulle, o God; laat hulle val deur hulle eie raad; verdryf hulle in die menigte van hulle oortredinge; want hulle het teen jou in opstand gekom.
11
Maar laat almal bly wees wat op U vertrou; laat hulle altyddeur jubel, omdat U hulle beskerm; laat ook die wat u Naam liefhet, in U juig.
12
Want U, HERE, seën die regverdige; met welbehae sal U hom omring soos met 'n skild.
